As Senior Pastor, it is my delight to welcome you to First Baptist Church of Cedar Grove official Web Site.  We are located in Shreveport, Louisiana which is a rapid growing city with a great body of Christian believers. It is my prayer that you will find this site informative, inspirational, and insightful in regard to the mission of our Church.

For over 121 years, our Church has stood the test of time. We may have had organizational changes but our primary mission has not changed - to reach, impact, and influence this world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news!

As we prepare for another historic period, I want to thank you for placing your confidence in our leadership. I must thank Pastor Emeritus Michael Brown and First Lady Brown for the previous years served to help us unify this community.  We are proud to say that there is no schism, no split, nor any ill will after our recent election.

This web site is under construction as we begin laying the foundational work of this new administration - and please bear with us as enhancements are made. We are sure that once all of the changes are implemented, you will be pleased and proud of the results. I am pleased to join in the words of Nehemiah 2:7(b), "the good hand of my God (is) upon me."
